I had posted this some time ago on the dprev board:

The component video output makes the TX1 a small playback device for high definition video/images suitable for presentations. However, only videos created directly on the TX1 are supported.  I have written a small utility program which converts any video into a format playable on the TX1. Download from this address:

Thank you, HDe! This is a great contribution and I can't wait to try it.
If you have not already posted there, I'm certain that the folks at CHDK forums would be very glad to try it out on a variety of models. This might motivate one or two to further investigate the 2GB limit problem, as well.
